Temptation of Eve No. 2 |
Brinzac, Don (Creator) |
1961 |
View of a 1961 bronze sculpture by Elbert Weinberg depicting the Temptation of Eve. According to the account in Genesis, the first book of the Bible, Eve, the first woman, was tempted by the Devil in the form of a serpent to eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge and Good Evil, despite the fact that God had forbidden her to do so. In the sculpture, Eve, a nude woman, stands at the left. The serpent, possibly in partially human form, is at the right. The sculpture is about fourteen inches high and was exhibited at the Grace Borgenicht Gallery in 1962. |

Sgt. John Smith's house was reportedly built around 1690, in the Hull's Farms area of Fairfield. If the date is correct, then that makes it one of a few existing examples of 17th century buildings in Fairfield. |
